Lincoln Acres Library and Community Room
National City, CA
Replacing an undersized but well-utilized facility, this new linear structure is oriented to face the neighboring Lincoln Park, opening the site up to new views and providing a strong visual and physical connection between two treasured community resources. The new facility creates a social heart for the community, its program including library space, a community center, office space for sheriff and fire protection workers, and publicly accessible restrooms.
